Ironwear Orange Vest Description

The 1287FR-BRK-O orange high-visibility flame-retardant safety vest is designed for professionals who require both safety and functionality on the job. Constructed from durable orange polyester mesh fabric with matching orange binding, this vest ensures breathability while maintaining high visibility. It features 2-inch silver reflective tape on contrasting 4-inch orange or lime fabric in a two-tone design, providing enhanced visibility in various lighting conditions.

This orange safety vest meets ANSI/ISEA 107-2015 Class 2 standards and is equipped with a hook & loop front closure along with a breakaway system on the shoulders and sides for quick removal in emergency situations. It includes two radio clip holders for communication devices and six pockets for convenient storage—two inside upper chest pockets, two outside upper chest pockets, and two outside lower pockets with flaps.

Additionally, the fabric is flame-retardant and tested under ASTM D6413, meaning it will self-extinguish when caught on fire. However, flame-resistant properties diminish with washing, and the vest should never be used in environments where arc flash or fire hazards are present.
